This Week’s Comedians
Marito Lopez, originally from El Salvador, moved to Canada at the tender age of four and has learned to love the English language, white people and snow. He grew up in the mean streets of Calgary, Alberta, and is probably the cutest gangster you’ll ever see on stage. Whether its at school, the club, or in the drunk tank, Marito has always wanted to be funniest person in the room. In 2009, Marito pulled a Kanye West, dropped out of college and decided to follow his dream. Kanye West is a millionaire right now and Marito just moved back in with his parents.
In the short time Marito Lopez has been doing comedy, he’s been able to produce multiple successful comedy shows, make it to the finals of the regional Great Canadian Laugh Off, and be featured on Shaw TV for a documentary on comedy in Calgary. One day, people will recognize Marito on the streets. Hopefully as a comedian.
Melissa loves to tell hilariously animated stories and has a very unique perspective. She tackles human nature, work-life and relationships with biting wit and her maniacal yet contained anger. Melissa fell in love with comedy in her early years as she developed it as a tool to make friends and endure enemies.
Melissa is a comedian, writer and actor who is also known as the co-creator of the sketch series Sex and the Single Parent, which has been nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards and is a great success on the website ‘Funny or Die’. Melissa was invited to Just For Laughs in 2017 for CBC’s ‘Stand Up and Pitch’ contest and did a live taping of her stand-up at the 2018 Halifax Comedy Festival for CBC.
Originally from Thunder Bay, Bobby Knauff moved to Toronto to attend the Humber School of Comedy, where he received the Brian Linehan Award for artistic promise and appeared in the New Faces of ’08 Industry Show at The Second City.

Bobby has also been a part of the NXNE Music and Comedy Festival and JFL42 in Toronto, was a semi-finalist in SiriusXM Canada’s Next Top Comic in 2013 and won the 2012 ‘Toronto Comedy Brawl’, which began with over 200 comics.
