THIS WEEK’S COMEDIANS
Jeff Paul brings a care free, no holds barred attitude, and razor sharp wit to every stage he performs on. No topic is off limits and his unmistakable charm has allowed him to push the boundaries of comedy for years, making him one of the country’s favourite comedians. Jeff’s act, based on his life observations, results in raw, often embarrassing stories of failed relationships, his physical appearance and drug and alcohol use will keep you laughing from start to finish. In addition to being a Yuk Yuk’s regular, Jeff was selected for New Faces at JFL42 in Toronto, accepted to the Sudbury Comedy Festival (2016, 2017), headlined the Cottage Country Comedy Festival, was selected for SiriusXM’s Top Comic, was chosen twice to showcase for COCA, has been featured twice in the NXNE Festival and can be seen hosting his weekly Dope N’ Mic show at Toronto’s famed Underground Comedy Club. He also founded the Icebreakers Comedy Festival in his hometown of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Tom Henry is a comedian from Toronto. He’s appeared at festivals such as Just for Laughs, San Francisco Sketchfest and Bridgetown (Portland). He’s opened for comics such as Tim Meadows, Nikki Glaser and Moshe Kasher. He’s been a regular on Andy Kindler’s alternative show at Just For Laughs. Kindler also chose him as “The Next Big Thing in 2017” stating “Tom Henry is a comic who you could say he’s a little bit like Mitch Hedberg, a little bit Steven Wright, but he’s in a category by himself” He was named as one of LA Riot Fest’s Comics to Watch in 2017 and was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Stand-Up Newcomer in 2012.
Born on Christmas day, a stone’s throw from Bethlehem, Habib thought he was the second coming and almost entered priesthood. Several countries and questionable decisions later, he completed his Ph.D. to start doing stand-up. He has since performed at clubs across Canada, headlined Kenny Robinson’s Nubian Show, and produced a comedy special for the Toronto Fringe Festival. Habib also runs an education non-profit and is helping start a Foundation in Toronto, where he currently lives. An admitted basketball junkie, he is likely the only Memphis Grizzlies fan not from Tennessee - or Vancouver. Habib may (definitely) own more shoes than anyone you know.
